IP Based Vs Analog PA Systems: Which One Should You Pick?
Analog PA systems use dedicated audio cabling and a central amplifier. They are dependable, easy to understand and remain a good choice for compact sites or where a separate network is preferred.
IP based PA systems send audio over your Ethernet network using SIP. Each speaker or station becomes an addressable device, so you can create zones in software, monitor health and add new points without running new audio cables back to a rack.
Cost wise, analog is often lower for small systems while IP becomes economical as the site grows. IP also integrates naturally with EPABX and intercom platforms.
The best answer depends on your site layout and future plans. We supply both, and can also combine them through interface units.
Reliable communication in a plant is a safety system first and a convenience second.
